I woke up to a 4 inch covering of snow in the garden. I'm very glad I did sme grocery shopping yesterday!

I went to Ashford, Kent, for the Summer Meeting of the Basketmakers' Association last Saturday. John Excell was there and he had brought this amazing basket made using safety pins threaded with glass beads.

The Monument, London

I climbed up all 311 steps of the Monument in London last weekend with Ben. We took lots of photographs and I was reminded of how much the skyline had changed since I used to take our French visitors there when I was young. (It was free in those days!)

Crochet Hat

I crocheted this hat using Colinette ribbon yarn. I included small earflaps and added a flower made on a flower loom. I lined the hat with dull pink fleece and it keeps my head and ears nice and warm.

I forgot to post this to the blog when I photographed it. The cushion cover is made from the front and back of an old jumper and the duffle bag is made from the sleeves stitched together, with a crocheted base at the cuff end and a hem at the top for the strap.
